It would make a huge difference to me if the tabs reopened in the same order they were saved. Even better, make them sortable in the ProTABS UI.

Good suggestion, we were thinking the same thing.
The ordering on reopen will be fixed in the next release, and we do plan to add reordering at a later stage, though I can’t say when as of now.
